All the buttonholes are made and the buttons has been attached. The wig is done and so is my reticule. I think I'm ready for the events for next weekend. Ther's still time to tidy up the seams for the jacket as well.

Yesterday I got my telescope. It was as nice as I thought it would be. It also got delivered at home. I thought I would have to get it at the post. It took a while to learn how to get it to focus.

Today I have made three buttoholes. That means that I have only four left to do and nine buttons to finish the dress.

I've been working on the dress. I have finished the bodice front and collar. There was yet more pleats to do there, both in fabric and in lace. I also finished the pleating on the skirt and decided that I had to redo the lace for the overskirt. Now it sits much better.Ther is not so much left to do. I bought some ribbon today. I thought 15m would be enough but since I pleated the ribbon for the bodice tonight I think I might need some more. It took almost 5m and the skirt is much wider.

I have started the bodice. It had to wait a while because of things like a headache and lack of fabric for lining. Now I have made some progress.

My parents has gone back home so I have been sewing. The foundation skirt is done. I made it in two layers. The first layer was made of cotton and just the hem in the fashion fabric. The second layer is completely in the fashion faric. Both layers are finished with a bias stripe and a pleated frill. Over the foundation skirt I made a half circle ( Read more... )
